Custom Pyrography / Wood-Burned Portrait

Capture the unique personality and spirit of your pet with a custom, hand-burned portrait from your photograph. Each piece is burned by hand (no lasers here) on a carefully selected canvas of natural birch, basswood, or maple, ensuring the natural grain makes your portrait a one-of-a-kind piece of art.

I work to create a detailed likeness that feels alive. The portrait is created almost exclusively through pyrography (wood burning). In some cases, white pencil or a paint pen may be used sparingly to add crucial highlights, such as the light in the eyes or definition in the fur.

Please note that pricing is based on one head per canvas. If you have something in mind with multiple pets, please reach out for a custom quote. If you check out and add on more pets I can send an invoice for the additional cost.

How to Order

1. Select Your Size Choose your desired portrait size and complete your purchase.

2. Email Your Photos Send an email to hello@cursedcarp.com with your reference images. High-quality, clear photos work best. In your email, please specify what you are looking for (e.g., a headshot, bust, or full-body portrait). Feel free to include any details that help me understand how to best capture your pet (personality, features on their face I may not see in the image, etc)

3. Canvas Confirmation The exact wood canvas (such as a round slice, live-edge plank, or rectangular piece) can vary depending on material sourcing and your request. Before the burn is started, I will contact you with a photo of the exact wood canvas selected for your piece for your final approval.
